i don't think i have a favourite subject at the moment. i tend to try and take images of simple everyday subjects and create an interesting image, that's about it. i guess i still feel i am in that learning stage and perhaps a specialism will emerge in time.

i would like to get more into street photography and have had some wonderful support from some fellow bloggers... still working on it!

I’ll try my hand at anything, but I particularly like motor sports and landscapes; with landscapes I prefer early morning or night shots. I also like to take, what I would call, lifestyle portraits that go beyond head and shoulder type shots to include more detail about an individual no matter how subtle.

i love intersting angle...but i think my art sense doesnt did a good job...

but i love scenery with gorgeous sky, clouds

and fence on rolling hills

and long,winding narrow road...
just the road winding its way around the field, farms, city

I guess its no real surprise when I say my favorite subjects are reflections and street scenes. Street scenes including candids and decay.

I guess I must br a generalist :) I'm always trying to shoot something I haven't done before. I love macro, though my current camera setup isn't ideal for it. I try to look for interesting angles on an otherwise mundane scene as well. A splash of color is always interesting.

I also enjoy underwater photography--big and tiny creatures--though I haven't been able to do it in over a year.

But being unrealistic and I had another "dream job" it would be photo journalism. Telling a story through pictures. For example: the aftermath of Katrina.

Foremost, my favorite subjects are people but I don't load my site up with people because it would just end up being my daughters and I'd bore everybody.

Second is nature; nature in my microcosm specifically - whatever grows in the area around my house / greenhouse. I love Alaska, but I am crappy at capturing the essence of the beauty compard to several other local photographers. I sort of push myself to TRY to capture the landscapes, but I do not think I do it any justice.

I like to take things that are technically challenging. I don't know why, but it makes me feel good when I manage to pull it off. So I end up taking stuff that's usually at either end of the focal length scale - miles away or almost touching the lens.

Night shots are my favorites and especially portraits of the people that I talk with late at night or very early in the morning. I find that most people are still very open to getting their photograph taken, but unfortunately I’m finding it harder to get photo releases so I don’t get to post very often.

I think it would be obvious to even the casual observer visiting me that my main theme is Nature. One way or the other I always seem to gravitate towards something growing or living and yes, colour does play a big part too. The things I avoid are black and white and portrait/people, I just don't feel in interested in one and am still uncomfortable in taking the other.
