The .htaccess files and php code had had malicious code inserted which completely locked me out,  spammed my comments and who knows what else.

The final solution was to ask my hosting service to completely reset the site and start afresh. This is something of a theme for me at the moment and at least gives me something to focus on. Last year was an annus horriblis for me (to coin a cliché) as I am in the process of parting ways with both my wife and employer which will necessitate me moving house just to add to the drama.

In fact this all gives me an opportunity to reinvent myself which is what I am setting out to do. I will start the process of looking for work in the corporate world which I have inhabited for most of my life, but in parallel I am looking to see what I can do around developing a business from my hobby and passion for photography perhaps combined with web design and helping new businesses manage their growth and development.

To start with I have grabbed WordPress and loaded it up. I am using the default template at the moment, but anticipate ditching it quite quickly. I did upload a photograph on the banner (hanging clothing I took a while a go) to get me up and running with my own stuff.

I have also rekindled and re-branded my twitter account which I opened at the beginning of 2010 without really seeing a purpose for it. Furthermore a new picture has been uploaded to Morven Photo on Flickr today and the intent is to add something frequently. In the short-term I have thrown up a few flickr images in the sidebar, but will be adding galleries soon.
